Breakdown!

The Anatolia Workshop is broken down into three parts. Throughout, students will also engage in fun activities, partake in a Q&A session, and recite a Pledge.

Part 1:

Why you must find your own voice!

We bring this lesson to life by sharing a pivotal choice Chelo faced in 2012: stay in Los Angeles to continue auditioning for America’s Got Talent, or fly to Orlando to work with 300 at-risk teens at a youth correctional facility. Choosing the latter not only impacted their lives—it helped Chelo find his own voice.

Your students will learn how social media can impact the conversations they have internally. These self-talks can affect how they feel about themselves. Those feelings can also lead to the choices they make—good or bad. In the end, the choices they make can raise or lower their self-esteem.

Part 2:

How to build your self-esteem!

Part 3:

Become an Accountability Partner!

In this part, each student will be paired with a peer to serve as their accountability partner, both inside and outside the classroom. Every student will be asked to complete collaborative task with their partner. This initiative is designed to foster a sense of teamwork, strengthen community bonds, and promote motivation and personal growth in both academic and social settings.

Q&A and Pledge

The session ends with an interactive Q&A session, followed by a group recitation of a leadership pledge.

I will commit myself/

To opening my heart and mind/
To becoming a better student/
I will face all of my challenges/
In and out of school/
With love, hope, and purpose/

Decisions are a reflection of your confidence or doubts.
